Helloo everybody! I am, so. So. So. Tiiiirrreed, it’s currently 20:27, and I had an awesome day swimming for the first time this year in my cousins’ swimming pool! It was amazing! And talking about my cousins, I made a watercolour painting with one of them, and it turned out awesome! (I’ll be calling her Star)

On the left, is Star’s gorgeous flowers, and on the right is my puffy red flowers. I have no idea why, but I LOVE painting watercolour flowers!

Hallo everybody. Why am I saying hello again, you ask? It’s because it was sooper late yesterday, so I had to go to bed before I could finish yesterday’s Thursday Ramble.. SO sorry, but Anywho, let’s continoo!
As you can see, I had done more watercolours, this was right after Star and I did our painting together. This is while I let my painting dry and before I went over it with a pen.

Here is the results after I had added some pen. If I look at it, it honestly reminds me of those weird dream-like paintings, which is pretty nice. Now, I am going to move on to all of my projects, all six of them! First one is my landscape painting from Art Class

Here was the first sketches of it. This painting was inspired by a game called No Man’s Sky. Basically we created our own creatures and plants to make a landscape. It was sooper fun when I was planning, I was sofighting excited for it! My first idea was a deer-creature standing in a type of rainforest, and it was raining, and there was a predator in the bushes. Then I played around with a more zoomed-out view of a Savannah-type-of-landscape.

Then I decided to stick with the rainforest one, and here I sketched out where the lights and darks would be, and the first attempt of the deer. I didn’t do any studying of other creatures, so it’s body does look pretty weird.

And here is a picture of the entire page of planning. As you can see at the bottom, I did some animal study, and man, it helped me A BUNCH! At the bottom left, is the deer.

I love how my deer creature turned out, and you can also see the predator in this picture.

And here is the painting so far! I’m very happy with it, and without my Art Teacher this would’ve been, not completely bad, but not as awesome. This project is now a personal project because, during all of this craziness we’ve been having, we are going to do Zoom Classes, but it’s not bad, I’m excited for the things we are planning to work on!

Ta-Da! It’s Samie (Samuel) in the enchanted Forest! Ahem let me re-phrase that; Samie in the Forbidden Enchanted Forest! I’m really happy with how it’s going so far. So yeah, now you’ve seen 2 out of the 6 Projects!

And now the third Project, Firing Soul! This is actually a collab story I’m doing with Star! Star is writing the story and scripts, and I’ll be illustrating it. So, it’s a really exciting thing! The 4th project is Usiria, it’s my game I’ve mentioned in “Digital Drawing”: http://winterstudio.co.za/?p=51. We’ve had some trouble with it, especially the morphs, but I’m hoping we’ll get back on track soon. The 5th Project is Creatures of the Moon, it’s a story I post on my WhatsApp Group called Stories’ Corner. I only post every three weeks though. I call it an IIS, (Interactive Illustrated Story) Why do I call it that? Well, it’s because each chapter I give the audience a couple of choices depending on the situation, and they get to vote what happens next! If you all are interested, I could probably post it here. The 6th Project;

Is paintings! 4 paintings actually, they were requested from my Uncle, (I call him Mr.Moo) so, this is the second one I’m working on, the one of his dog.

Here is the planning,

I’m planning to do this one in watercolour. Yes, I think I might be obsessed with watercolour.

And now comes the cats! Hooray! At some point, I started loving drawing cats because of their adorable feet/paws!

This one is my favourite, because of how simplified she is, but at the same time there is so many shapes and curves. I love her Floof and legs, she just looks so cool!
That’s all for today my friends! I’ll see you next Thursday Ramble!… By the way, iand might’ve gotten it wrong in my previous Ramble, I’ll be posting every second Thursday! Have good day all! Bye-bye.

Hello Danielledk, there’s so much content in this post and very nice. One piece of advice would be to split something like this up over multiple posts even if it’s multiple posts on the same day, but that’ll make better logical groupings of the pictures.
I was quite amazed at the shared painting you and Star made, that came out really nice, and the enchanted forest one’s are spectacular, I can look at them for very long and still find new things that catch my attention. well done.
Baie goed Danielle. Jy gaan ‘n baie goeie illustreerder word vir kinderboeke!! Your interpretation is excellent! !
Thank you so much!
